I am a fellow Year of the Staycation blogger, traveling in my magic chair to visit all kinds of cool places... and LOVE the way you organized your sites!!  So smart to do it by admission price... makes it so easy for readers to plan.  And now I'm wishing I could go to Gettysburg... I had no idea all of these places were there to visit!!!  :)

  5. Now these are interesting posts! I like the idea of inexpensive outings. Must say over here in China it's quite easy since a lot of the museums are free or cheap. Although the major attractions do cost a lot more. And I guess a lot of the tourists do want the highlights anyway (is that why they are more expensive?).
I read in a research project that kids preferred the more simple outings anyway instead of the big expensive theme parks. Quite an eye opener, since in NL so many families tend to go to the theme parks which are getting more and more expensive every year.
A few years ago when putting together the amount a family had spent on their summer vacation (staycation but going to theme parks and the like) and what we had spent on camping in France... we had spent so much less...
I think the posts you put together do give a lot of interesting info on the things to do in the different areas!!

  6. I'm so glad you enjoyed this Cessie :)  I didn't know theme parks were popular in NL - isn't that intersting?  I wouldn't have guessed that being that everything is there - or within a close driving distance.
